Goddesses A World of Myth and Magic - This book was not what I expected. When I ordered it, I thought it was a collection of Goddess stories, but it is actually more like an encyclopedia of Goddesses. However, I was not disappointed. The illustrations in this book are nothing short of spectacular, and it contains descriptions of over one hundred different Goddesses from many different cultures. This beautiful and inspiring book is for ages 8-adult and I think every young girl should have a copy on her bookshelves. Barefoot Books does offer a collection of Goddess stories in a book called The Lady of Ten Thousand Names which was written by the same author, goddess expert Burleigh Muten. I don't have a copy of that one yet, but I am looking forward to getting it!
